How to put your iPhone in recovery mode

Picture 1
This is how you put your iPhone in recovery mode not DFU mode you should only do this if your are experiencing troubles with your iPhone and need to a do a restore. If your iPhone is jailbroken and you are going to restore it anyway then I would always recommend restoring in this way, oh yeah when you put iPhone in recovery mode you have to restore it, unless you unplug it and do a hard reboot.

1. Turn your iPhone off

2. Make sure your USB is plugged into your computer but not into the iPhone

3. Hold down the home button on your iPhone.

4. Keep holding down the button while your insert the other end off the USB cable into your iPhone.

5. Continue to hold down the home button until iTunes recognizes it

If you let go of the home button before iTunes recognizes it, even for a milli-second, then iTunes will not recognize it, when your iPhone is in recovery mode it will have one of these pictures displayed on the screen, depending on wether its jailbroken or not. (you can probably guess which one is jailbroken)
