Installous 2.5 and 3.0 news
Puy0 from hackulous has recently posted about installous 2.5, if you have been following the updates about installous 3.0 this will be big news to you as 2.5 is almost identical to 3.0, he claims that he cannot release the full 3.0 version until Kyek returns to hackulous. Puy0 has said that installous 2.5 is in the alfa stage and will arrive in 2-3 weeks, sounds good.
The 2 differences that there are between installous 2.5 and 3.0 are that in 2.5 you cannot have a favorites column so no updates which is the thing I need most, and also the search is slightly slower and the app description is not as detailed.

How to jailbreak 3.0
How to Jailbreak iPhone 3G 3.0 with Redsn0w on
Windows & Mac
1.
Make sure you are running version 3.o or 3.0.1 (THE
METHOD IS EXACTLY THE SAME FOR BOTH VERSIONS)
2. Download Redsn0w from
redsn0w
0.8 Mac
redsn0w
0.8 Windows
redsn0w
0.8 Linux
and extract it
3.
Open up Redsn0w and select the 3.0 firmware installed
on your iphone, if you dont no what this is search
your computer for ipsw and select the one that has an
itunes icon file name ending in ipsw (Looks something
like this:- iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw)
4. Connect your iPhone to your computer
5. Follow the instructions in Redsnow. when it asks
you what you would like it to install cydia and icy
make sure ONLY cydia is checked or it wil not
function properly
6. Follow the on screen instructions to put your
iPhone in DFU mode
7. Let redsn0w do it’s thing
8. And your jailbroken have
